What's new in MEGS_Log 3.3

Features introduced with MEGS_Log 3.3 include:

• Improvements to the printing of boreholes, including the ability to print a legend.
• Clipboard operations, such as copy and paste.
• Optional licence adminstration via a code, rather than a physical dongle.

See the release notes for each specific build for more information.

MEGS_Log 3.3 can be installed alongside MEGS_Log 3.0, 3.1 and 3.2 and will share the same user customised configuration file and registry keys (changes to configuration made in one version will be reflected in the other).

What's new in MEGS_Log 3.2

MEGS_Log 3.2 introduces support for the editing of Prolog version 4.0 and 4.1 files, referred to collectively in this help as Prolog 4.x files.

There are some restrictions associated with this support, in that you cannot convert from other file types to a Prolog 4.x file or create a Prolog 4.x file from scratch.

You can also import schemas from Prolog 4.x files into MEGS_Log.

What's new in MEGS_Log 3.1

MEGS_Log 3.1 offers the following functionality over MEGS_Log 3.0:

• Nearly all application configuration can now be carried out without having to manually edit the configuration file, using a series of new dialog boxes:
  • The Vector Editor dialog box, for editing of the vector hatches.
  • The Schema Editor dialog box, for editing of the schemas or templates used to open and save different file types.
  • The Trace Defaults Editor dialog, for editing of the default settings applied to each trace as it is loaded.
  • The Bitmap Editor dialog box, for editing of the bitmap hatches.
  • The Seams and Plies Editor dialog box, for editing the lists of seams and plies used for correlation.
  • The Hatch List Editor dialog box, for editing the list of rock types available within MEGS_Log and the hatch pattern associated with each rock type.
• Your system administrator can now specify that MEGS_Log should run in Client mode, which prevents changes to MEGS_Log configuration and ensures consistency.
• The controls used to select rock types (for instance in the Set Rock Type dialog box) and hatch patterns now offer a graphical preview of the relevant hatch pattern.
