Use the Seams and Plies Editor dialog box to edit the list of seams
and plies available for correlation.
Unless your administrator has enabled
Client mode, you can
display this dialog box by clicking the
Edit Seams and Plies button
on the Settings tab of the Options dialog
box. If Client mode has been enabled then this dialog box is not
available.
Site: Displays the list of sites. Each
site contains an independent list of seams and plies. Select the site
that contains the list of seams and plies that you want to edit.
Add: Add a new site - a new list of seams
and plies.
Delete: Delete the selected site. If the
selected site is the one currently used for correlation within
MEGS_Log then the next time that you attempt to correlate units in
a borehole you will be asked for a new site to use.
Edit name: Change the name of the
selected site. If the selected site is the one currently selected
for correlation within MEGS_Log then you will continue to use
the renamed site.
Seams: Displays the list of seams
available for the given site.
Add: Add a new seam to the list of
seams available for the given site.
Delete: Remove the selected seam from
the list.
Edit name: Change the name of the
selected seam.
Move up (▲): Move the seam
up in the order of seams.
Move down (▼): Move the seam
down in the order of seams.
Plies: Displays the list of plies
available for the selected site and the selected seam.
Add: Add a new ply to the list of
plies for the selected seam.
Delete: Remove the selected ply from
the list.
Edit name: Change the name of the
selected ply.
Move up (▲): Move the ply
up in the order of plies.
Move down (▼): Move the ply
down in the order of plies.
The order of seams and plies is not significant
in this version of MEGS_Log (apart from the display order when selecting
seams or plies in other dialog boxes), but may be used in later versions
to assist with correlation. As a result, you should endeavour to maintain
your seams in plies in the order that they typically appear as you move down
through the strata of the particular site.
Changes made to the seams and plies are saved to the users MEGS_Log
configuration file when you click the Ok
button.
