Open Trace dialog box
The Open Trace dialog box allows you to specify which trace files to open.
To display this dialog box select the Open Trace command on the File menu or click the Open Trace toolbar icon

). A similar dialog box is displayed
when you click the Add New... button from within
the Trace Manager.
The appearance and content of this dialog changes depending on your operating system. A typical example for Windows XP is shown below.
- File Name: Specifies the file you want to open. This box lists files with the extension you select in the Files of Type field.
- Files of Type: Specifies the type of file you want to open. MEGS_Log only supports LAS format files, though you can set the file filter to All files (*.*) if your filename does not use the .LAS extension.
Other buttons and fields within the dialog box allow you to navigate through the drive and directory structure of your computer to the location of the borehole file; to change the way the files are displayed within the dialog box and to carry out some basic file operations. Details vary depending on your operating system.
Note that when this dialog is displayed using the Open Trace command you can select multiple trace files to open at once. When the dialog is displayed using the Trace Manager you can only select a single trace file to open.
